Queen Victoria Market Reuse Pilot
Introducing the Reuse Pilot Zone at Queen Victoria Market! From July 10th until the end of September, we're thrilled to be hosting this initiative at the E Shed in Queen Victoria Market.
With 20 participating food vendors, this Reuse Pilot Zone aims to eliminate thousands of single-use items from going to landfill, contributing to a greener future for the Queen Victoria Market.
This Project is one of three activations as part of the Queen Victoria Market Circular Economy Precinct.
Over the past 47 market days,
31,724
single use items have been prevented from landfill.
The Reuse Pilot is made possible by two local social enterprises:
STREAT

STREAT is a leading social enterprise with over a decade of experience supporting young people across Melbourne through its hospitality businesses, and collaborates on numerous projects to build a more fair, regenerative and connected food system for Victoria.
B-Alternative

B-Alternative is an Australian social enterprise revolutionising sustainability through four key services that empower businesses, events and communities to embrace regeneration and circularity seamlessly.
Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting new project!
